From July 15 to 18, the fair brings together more than a thousand exhibiting brands in an area of 26,600 m²
Intermach 2025 – Technology Fair and Congress for the Metalworking Industry, will be held from July 15 to 18, 2025, in Joinville-SC, with a significant increase of 30% in the exhibition area. The 2025 edition is the largest metalworking industry fair ever held in the State of Santa Catarina, including the expansion of the exhibition space by 4 thousand m², out of a total of 26,600 m² of floor area.
Consolidated as the most representative and technological event in the southern region of Brazil and one of the main in the metalworking industry in Brazil, the fair concentrates 250 booths and more than a thousand exhibiting brands. The booths are occupied by Brazilian industries and local brands that represent international manufacturers of machinery, equipment, services and technological solutions.
For Richard Spirandelli, director of the organizer Messe Brasil, Intermach contributes to the renewal of Brazil’s manufacturing parks, especially in the South region. “Traditionally, the fair concentrates the latest innovations and technologies in the sector, providing a comprehensive view of the trends and advances that shape the future of the industry”, he comments.
The 15th edition of Intermach will have several attractions and activities, including a congress, workshops and seminar, which add up to more than 40 hours of knowledge about the latest trends in the industry. In addition, there will be a business round to promote partnerships and direct negotiations, in addition to demonstrations of innovative machines and equipment and a welding championship. These activities create an ideal platform for the exchange of knowledge and the creation of new business opportunities, benefiting exhibitors and visitors.
In the four days of the event, more than 25 thousand visitors are expected, including businessmen, engineers, technicians and students. “The expected economic and industrial impact of Intermach 2025 is significant, with clear benefits for the local and regional market. The fair fosters economic development and enables technological advancement, boosting the competitiveness of local industries”, highlights Spirandelli.
Held by Messe Brasil, Intermach has the support of important entities in the sector, such as ABIMAQ, ABINFER, and FIESC SESI/SENAI, reinforcing the commitment to the industrial and technological development of the country.
COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY
Intermach brings an innovation to the fairs segment in the southern region of Brazil, by adopting sustainability practices. The event now has the specialized consultancy of the startup AKVO ESG with the challenge is to implement strategies aimed at reducing and offsetting carbon emissions, making the event more environmentally responsible.
Industry plays a crucial role in the transition to a more sustainable future, and industry events take on the role of reflecting this responsibility by minimizing their environmental impacts. In this context, Intermach 2025 takes a leading role by integrating ESG (environmental, social and governance) principles into its structure.
For the technical director of AKVO ESG, Thomaz Tomazoni, the partnership with Messe Brasil at Intermach represents a strategic opportunity to strengthen the ESG agenda in the industrial sector. “Our mission is to guide companies and events on the journey of sustainability and decarbonization. Intermach can become a beacon to engage industries in the ESG agenda, further boosting sustainability in the metal-mechanic sector, which is so essential and thriving in Santa Catarina”, highlights Tomazoni.
The first step of the project is to carry out a detailed inventory of the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions generated by the event. This includes all stages of the fair, from the assembly of the stands to energy consumption, displacement of visitors and waste generation. With this data, it will be possible to neutralize the carbon footprint of the event through the purchase of carbon credits, supporting environmental projects in the region and in the Amazon.
In addition to carbon neutralization, Intermach 2025 will adopt sustainable practices in line with the international standard ISO 20121, which establishes guidelines for sustainable events. This includes the implementation of measures to optimize resources, waste management, and encourage the circular economy within the event. The AKVO ESG team is conducting the data collection and mobilization of the various stakeholders involved, ensuring that sustainability is at the heart of the fair’s decisions.
The director of Messe Brasil, Richard Spirandelli, argues that the initiative is in line with the strategies of the industry, which seeks to continuously improve its sustainability practices. “We are motivated to take this first step that enables Intermach to contribute to a more sustainable future, where economic and social development walk in an integrated way”, he reinforces.
With this initiative, Intermach 2025 positions itself as a pioneering industrial event in the adoption of sustainable practices, demonstrating that it is possible to unite innovation and environmental responsibility. By leading this movement, the fair contributes to a sector that is more aware and aligned with the environmental and economic demands of the future.
FIESC ORGANIZES THE CONGRESS AND PRESENTS SOLUTIONS IN TECHNOLOGY AND INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT
FIESC, through the SESI and SENAI brands, supports Intermach where it presents solutions that integrate state-of-the-art technology and commitment to industrial development, in a 62-square-meter stand. The space has a working machining robot, additive manufacturing machines (3D printing) and a collaborative robot, all aligned with Industry 4.0 concepts.
The replica of the statue of the Ballerina of Joinville, a cultural icon of the city, and which represents the junction of technology and art, will be one of the highlights of the booth. The monument was built using technologies such as 3D printing, digitization, and additive manufacturing. The original piece, which today embellishes the center of Joinville, is a real example of the potential of innovation applied to heritage and the creative industry.
Focusing on Productivity, the central theme of SENAI’s participation in the event, the proposal is to highlight how the combination of well-prepared professionals and intelligent technologies is the key to increasing the competitiveness of the industry. After all, investing only in machines is not enough — it is also necessary to invest in people, processes, and integrated solutions.
MECHANICS AND AUTOMATION CONGRESS
